"We started going to Dr. Wilson approximately 3 years ago. My daughter Karly had a unique set of teeth- she had one that was turned sideways and several that were either too high or too low in the gumline. She was also missing one of her adult teeth.
Karly had to have space maintainers before she could get braces. We had one occasion on a Sunday where the band had come off and she had bitten down on it. "My dental "issues" began just before I hit my teens. Over the years, I have been seen by a number of dentists and orthodontists. Without exception, I was told I would need to have oral surgery or at a minimum, extraction of 3 or 4 teeth. The prospect of surgery frightened me and I wasn't willing to sacrifice healthy teeth.
